My Little Family
I and my wife converged for the first time in 27 September 1998. However, we have been closed each other since we did a lot phone conversations after the very first of our acquaintanceship more than one month before. We know each other with two sequences: voice and then face.
My family came to her parents in Makassar proposing our marrige (Mandarese: mettumae) on October 8, 2000. In November 19, we had then procession of "confirming the day of marriage" (Mandarese: mattanda jari) at Campalagian. And finally we got married in Makassar on Friday January 05, 2001. It was heavy rain when we celebrated our marriage ceremony at IMMIM hall in the evening.
I have now a small family with two little beautiful angels. Jilwah is our first daughter, was born in May 24, 2005 at 01:55 am. Her complete name is Jilwah Fatimah Iftah Minniah. She is very attractive now, singing songs every time, choosy, and smart. She has entered a kindergarten, KIDS, since December 2007.
Our second daughter is Naya. Her complete name is Kimya 'Aliyah Icci Sitinaya. She was born in March 4, 2007 at 04:03 am. Now she has had two teeth without any development as 'normal' 11 months baby has. But she is very jocular, she makes us laughing every time. She likes smiling. But her energetic activities makes her to have 'good' record: falling from bed to floor without injury.
Both Jilwah and Naya have the same delivery: caesar surgery. They also have the same point of origin, they are 'made' and born in Balikpapan, a city within East Kalimantan province. Jilwah came first completing our life after 4.5 years waiting. We lived in uneasy waiting after marriage, and finally we are honoured and trusted to have kids. It was a long anxiety anyway.
The name of Jilwah was coming from an Urdu and (probably) Persian languages, means manifestation. Jalaluddin Rakhmat, my spiritual teacher, said that this word also has the same root with tajalli', a spiritual station (Arabic: maqam) which is very familiar within al-Ghazali teachings. It is also a name of well known scholar that we found in somewhere of a book. Fatimah is the name of Prophet Muhammad daughter, she is the mother of all Imams. Iftah means opener or key. And Minniah is an acronim of mustaMIN and rahmaNIAH which are our names.
The name of Kimya is taken from the name of Jalaluddin Rumi's daughter. She is actually adopted daughter. 'Aliyah itself is the alias name of Fatimah. Icci is an honoured name of Mandarese women, basically used for noblewomen. When we used this name for our daughter, we do not mean that we have nobility in its traditional meaning, instead we want our daughter to be a glorious women in social term and religious teachings perspective. And Sitinaya is also a Mandarese language, it means appropriateness, fairness, correctness, etc. Thus, Naya's name is our short supplication for her.
Now, we are living in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. While I am working for Chevron Indonesia, my wife is working as dentist at local goverment clinic (Ind.: Puskesmas) and serves as civil servant.
My Family Tree
I and my wife are coming from a very big family. I've tried to build a family tree to show how big it is. See our family tree for detail.
